How To Remove Cylinder Video
Suggested Tools:
- Large Pipe Wrench
- Rubber Mallet

Step One:
Protect the surface of your table and the floor where the cylinder will drop with blankets or scrap cardboard.

Step Two:
Using your pipe wrench, tighten it to your cylinder as close to the mechanism as possible.
Tip: If you are going to re-use your cylinder, be sure to protect it using a rag.
Once tightened to the cylinder, turn the pipe wrench a quarter turn until it comes loose.
Tip: Your cylinder isn't screwed on, so loosen it until you can pull the base and cylinder off.

Step Three:
– To remove the cylinder from the base, simply put the base upside down.
Tip: Be sure your surface is covered, and floor protected. Stand back so the cylinder doesn't hit your feet.
– Use a rubber mallet to dislodge the cylinder from the base.
Tip: If the rubber mallet doesn't work, use a hammer instead. Keep in mind the hammer may damage your cylinder.

Replacing Your Cylinder
Replacing your cylinder is the easy part. Set the base upright on the floor. Place the new cylinder into the base. Simply pick up your chair and align it to the hole in the mechanism. Once set onto the cylinder, sit on the chair to set it in place. That's it!
